Hello! I am glad that you stopped by today to take a look at the project that I created using the Kiwi Lane Designer Templates and the WRMK North Pole Collection! You should have arrived here from Julie Ann's blog. If you got lost along the way, head on back to the start and redirect yourself! :) I had the pleasure of working with the Chevron Templates for this layout.
I just printed my Christmas photos so I thought I'd get started on scrapping them since I have this perfect collection to work with! At first glance, you may notice that the layout doesn't shout "chevrons" but if you take a look at the back, you'll see how I put it together.
I traced each of various widths of chevrons onto the back of my paper. I then cut out the point of each of the chevrons. This allowed for a slit to be formed. I then slid in various patterns of paper to show through on the other side. I love how versatile the designer templates are!
I loved being able to use so many of the fun & festive patterns from this collection on one layout.
I thought that it would be fun to have a giveaway on my blog today along with the great giveaway that Kiwi Lane is having! So, be sure that you are a follower, and, just because I am curious, answer one (or both!) of the following questions:
What time of day do you usually read/check the blogs that you follow?
OR
What is your favorite memory from this holiday season?
Remember that the Kiwi Lane blog hop will run through 11:59 PM MST on Sunday January 5th. And a random winner from ONE of the participating blogs
(including the Kiwi Lane blog), will be given a $25 gift certificate to
the Kiwi Lane Shop, for leaving a comment and will be announced on the
Kiwi Lane blog on Thursday, January 9th.
I will also post my winner on the same day! I am so glad that you stopped by for a look today! Your next stop along the way is >>Stephanie<< so be sure to hop along and comment along the way!
Scrap Happy~

Melissa, What a great idea to weave the paper! It is a great look! I hope I remember this trick! I am a follower. I like to check my blogs I follow any time I have free time. Which isn't often any more.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea!!!
ReplyDeleteVery creative way to use the templates! I usually do not check blogs daily ~ usually Friday evening after my son goes to sleep which anymore isn't very early ~ he is turning into a night owl!! My favorite memory from this Christmas is that my son wanted me to open the first present on Christmas morning (he is 7), that was the best gift I could ever ask for.
ReplyDeleteI just followed you! I loved that my hubby was able to see the excitement on our daughters faces this Christmas, all the way from Afghanistan! Modern technology is amazing!
ReplyDeletewhat a great new way to use the templates, I am just learning about Kiwi Lane Designs and received my first sets for Christmas, so that was one of my favorite things, as far as memories was that we were able to bring our 18 year old son back home after 6 months of training for the Army National Guard! one happy mom!!! I follow on bloglovin so I love getting notices on my phone daily. I usually sit down after dinner to check them all out
ReplyDeleteHow ingenious! I'm sure I would have never thought of that! I usually look at my computer early morning and this was our first Christmas with lots of beautiful snow.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun use of those chevrons.... love this layout, it is beautiful
ReplyDeleteI love your cut-apart chevron look! I already follow your awesome blog :) I usually check all my blogs either in the morning at about 9 or not til evening at about 10 or later if children are not cooperating... Good work!
ReplyDeleteWow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Do I really have to take the kids to the Natural History Museum today? You make me wanna scrapbook lady! LOOOOVE!
ReplyDeleteLove your technique, very creative!
ReplyDeleteLove this!!! You are so amazing! Totally going to try this!!! Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI usually read my blogs at night after the kids are in bed. Usually around 9:00 pm when I finish up odds and ends and sit down at the computer. What you did with the chevron template was really cool.
ReplyDeleteI read blogs throughout the day (probably spend too much time on the computer). My favorite part of Christmas will happen tomorrow (Saturday) when my granddaughter comes home. She's going on several interviews next week - hopefully she'll get one of the jobs and will move back permanently. We're having Christmas with Christine tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteBack to your project - I love the way you cut the chevrons out - some large and some small. Have to remember that technique.
thanks for sharing.
Awesome way to use the chevrons! I usually check out blogs over my lunch...
ReplyDeleteI like seeing the versatility of the templates! Great job on a beautiful layout. I will be subscribing to your blog! :)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! I usually check the blogs early in the morning before everyone else gets up in the house :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Very creative! Trying to figure out to subscribe to your blog still....but will! My SIL had her first baby and only the second grand child of the family on 12/17 so that is my most favorite memory of this Christmas. And I sneak my phone out of my work drawer several times a day to sneak a peek at blogs! :) Thanks for sharing your awesome page.
ReplyDeleteI read blogs during my lunch hour and breaks at work.
ReplyDeleteThat is an awesome idea! I love your idea and will totally keep following you! I usually get on the computer after dinner while everyone is watching tv! My favorite event this Christmas was dinner with all my children and grandchildren, with the announcement that another grand child is on the way! Yays!!
