Once again, scrapbooksteals.com has helped me to be more creative this weekend than I probably would have been otherwise. They issued some online scrapbook challenges and I really wanted to play! Below are some of the layouts that I've created this weekend.
Challenge #1: Sketch Challenge
I used My Mind's Eye Alphabet Soup on this one. With the number of times I go to that line, I think it is safe to say that it is one of my favorites of all time. My twin nieces recently turned one and this sketch was perfect to make a layout using many of the photos that I have taken of them in the past year. (Twin #2 will get her page soon!)
Challenge #2: Keepin' It Real
This challenge asked us to create a layout about something real. No froofing up the details. This is real alright! My house is littered with stacks and stacks of reading material. Everywhere. Anywhere. I thought it would be fun to create a page to document that fact.
Challenge #3: Scrap That Stash
This challenge asked that we scrapbook our scrapbook area. While I didn't get a photo of the area as a whole, these are some of the things that are my favorites to create with. I've been saving that lady with the scissors for a while, it was fun to use her!
Challenge #4: Something Old, New, Borrowed & Blue
This one came together quite by surprise. I had a different plan and it turned into this! Something old: this collection of paper, Something new: the photo of me (my new blog photo. I need to switch out), Something blue: Thickers. (We only had to use three of the four). This one really makes me happy for some reason.
A completed layout I wanted to share : )
I posted this layout without the photos and now that the photos are in, I needed to repost it. My oldest doesn't pose for photos all that often, so it was fun to get this many of him in one spot. We had so much fun at Disney and I can't wait to get started on my Disney album!
