Ribbon Carousel Challenge #90: Washi Tape

Hello! So glad that you stopped by to take a look at the layout that I created for RCC#90...Washi Tape! I do enjoy some pretty washi tape, and I am hoping you do too. Here is what I created.

I used the washi in this layout behind the title in the word "Clare" as well as in the corners of the newborn baby foot (how cute are newborn feet?!?!)

I liked using the washi behind her name because it allowed the name to pop a little more. That is what I love about washi, it is a bit subtle when you want it to be!

This collection is the Crate Paper: Little Bo Peep collection which I adore! I made a layout of my mom and I when I was a baby using this collection that was recently published in Scrapbook Trends as well. Such a gorgeous baby collection!

Make sure that you stop by the Ribbon Carousel Blog today to see what the other designers have created for this challenge! Also, I encourage you to play along! Be sure to link up your creation >>here<< and show off your creativity!

Simple and Heartfelt!

Happy Valentines Day! While I am not the type of person to go all out for this day, I do like to make my hubby a card to remind him how much he is loved.

I absolutely loved using the WRMK Chalkboard collection for this card along with a little Sheer Metallic washi tape. Although some of the colors and patterns in the collection are more feminine, I like how this one is masculine with a bit of whimsy. And, I kept it clean and simple, no sequins on this one! :)

And inside, is a message along the lines of, "There is a place in my heart that only you can fill." He also gets an unexpected gift from the kids and I when we're all home tonight that I know he will love!

Thanks for taking a look today!

Tune In!

If you happen to have cable and want to tune in today to HSN, there will be a bunch of We R Memory Keepers products being featured today, including some cute little pillow boxes (made by me!) using the Pillow Box Punch Board!

This is such a gorgeous and really, really versatile collection (that is the part that I loved most about it) called Inked Rose. It is classic and modern all at the same time!

And here are a few more...

Hope you are able to take a look today! There are many other items being featured as well!

Numbers Ninja

When my daughter told me that she wanted to take Algebra 1 as a 7th grader, I will admit, that feeling of dread came over me. I am not a numbers person. At all. Like, really, really, not. I think you get what I mean. I was so proud of her and wanted to encourage her to pursue her goals so my husband and I gave her the go ahead.

I had found a fun notebook for her to use that had that 3-D effect with a bunch of numbers. When she was done with the notebook, I cut it up to use on this layout! In person, the numbers "move" around.

I've been loving the gold trend that is out there these days and I knew I wanted to incorporate that into the layout. I used some of the Pink Paislee Luxe collection to get the shine as well as the gold Thickers that I recently picked up.

I used several pieces from one of my Gossamer Blue kits along with a new pieces from Echo Park too. This is very much a hodge-podge of collections! The sketch is from Creative Scrappers who always have sketches that I love!

It was really fun to be able to document this moment along her math journey! My wish for her is that it is a very successful one!
