Farewell Google Reader

Today is officially the last day to follow blogs via Google Reader. As a hard core Google Reader fan, this is a difficult one for me.

However, I found an alternative that I really like and thought I'd share with you. I've had really good luck using feedly. With feedly, you can bring over all of your the Google Reader blogs that you follow currently with just one click! Take a look at the photo below:
See? One click and you are all set to continue following all of your currently followed blogs!

Or, once you sign in to feedly and you want to add blogs (like this one :) all you have to do is click on the +Add Content button and paste my blog url (or others!) in the search box! To make it easy, here is my url for you!

http://www.abitofscrappygoodness.blogspot.com/

You just need to copy and paste it into the feedly search box and press the + button next to it. Then you will be all set to follow my blog or any others you'd like.

I hope that this post helped to make following a little easier! Thanks for stopping by!

We R Memory Keepers Guest Designer

Hello! To say I am excited to be a guest designer for We R Memory Keepers today is a bit of an understatement! I had the chance to work with their Happy Campers collection which was so much fun! You can see all of my projects in their entirety on the WRMK blog today right HERE!

I created a banner, a card and a layout for WRMK. The entire collection was so easy to work with which made creating a breeze!

I seriously can't say thank you enough to WRMK for allowing me to use my creativity to showcase one of their amazing collections! Between their paper and their tools that I have in my craft room, I am definitely a a WRMK fan! I am so appreciative for the opportunity!

Be sure to check out their blog today and while you are at it, why not become a fan on Facebook too?
Thanks for stopping by!

Show Me That Smile

My oldest is officially able to say "been there, done that" to braces, twin blocks, rubberbands and the like! It was a successful run that I, of course, had to document! I didn't have my camera, so I snapped these in the car with my phone to get the "before and after" of the day he got his braces off. Growing quickly...

The Paper Bakery Sketch had a bit of a celebratory feel to it, which I thought would be a good one for this topic! This is a bit outside of my typical kind of layout but fun to create! Juliana Michaels creates some really amazing sketches! So, here is my take on the sketch!

Unfortunately, I need to call the ortho office to get the official start date and end date since I didn't write that down. So, I don't have the journaling filled in quite yet! I will finish it though!

Thanks for taking a look today! Hope you stop by again soon!

Sweet Little Card and a Winner!

I wanted to share a sweet little card that I made recently for my niece's baptism. The soft baby colors of the American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection were too good to pass up when I went to create the card!

I used the Quickutz Die Cutting Template: Antique Doily for the first time and it worked like a charm to tuck in the background. Gave it just the look I was hoping for!

I also wanted to say THANK YOU to those of you who stopped by for the Kiwi Lane Blog Hop this past weekend! It was fun...while my links were working of course! I felt so helpless being out of town and only having my phone with me to try to fix it! Your patience was appreciated! I hope you enjoyed the hop and thank you for the kind comments you left on my blog! My heart was happy! :)

And, with that, here it the winner as chosen by random.org for the Kiwi Lane Templates that I was giving away...

Heather, please email me your information and I will get your prize out to you right away! Thank you for hopping along!

June Blog Hop: Kiwi Lane

**Blog is fixed and updated! So sorry for the technical difficulties!**

Good Morning! I am so happy to be one of the stops along the Kiwi Lane Blog Hop today! You should have arrived here from Ashley Newell's blog.  If you get lost along the way, just click >>HERE<< to get you back on the right track!
Also, I hope you've left a comment on each blog along the way, because a random winner from ONE of the participating blogs (including the Kiwi Lane blog), will be given a $25 gift certificate to the Kiwi Lane Shop...just for leaving a comment! Do it! Do it! :)
AND, just for some added fun today, if you leave me a comment and become a follower of my blog, I am giving away one pack of awesome Kiwi Lane Templates! Just let me know that you have done both and I will add your name into the mix! And, if you want to tell my something I should add to my summer bucket list for my kids and I and your name is chosen, I may just throw in a little something extra! Just sayin'!
Okay, now, let's get down to business! I am lucky to be the proud owner of several designer templates from Kiwi Lane. There are SO many scrapbook ideas that I think of when I get my templates out and this layout was no different!

As you may or may not know, it was L-O-V-E at first sight when I first laid eyes on the Scallops Templates from Kiwi Lane. I'd been searching for a punch or cutting system that would give me a clean scallop in various sizes...and failing miserably! When I got the Scallops Templates from Kiwi Lane, I knew that they would get a workout!

I used the largest scallop (Scallops 3B) on the left side of the page above. I like the large size of this one, especially for a page that has more of a "boy" feel. It isn't a dainty scallop, which I like! I also used Tags 1 on this page. "Where is the tag?" you may be asking. I love using that particular tag to make a quick and easy chevron shape as demonstrated >>HERE<<. (For a full list of templates used, see the end of this post!)

On this page, I used  the Accents Templates to create a couple of space-age looking shapes to add to the outer space look I was going for. Also, I needed a perfect circle, just the right size, so my Rings 1 template came in handy for that as well!

Seriously, scrapping doesn't get any easier than this! I am hoping to be scrapping more of my Disney photos soon along with some photos of my sweet new niece. I'd be honored if you stopped by again sometime to see what is up on my blog! Thanks for hopping along today! Don't forget, leaving comments on each blog enters you in the drawing for a $25 gift certificate to the Kiwi Lane Shop and don't forget about my giveaway too! Hop on back to Kiwi Lane and leave a comment if you haven't already! Until next time...

Friends Like YOU

Hello Friends!
The project that I created for Kiwi Lane is up on their blog today...and it's all about some friends I've made in recent years. I hope that you will go over and take a look! Seriously, the scrapbook ideas that I get when I use the templates makes scrapbooking so easy! I used the Kiwi Lane Bracket Template to create a little fun! Not only that but I got to use the new My Mind's Eye papers from their Collectable Collection called Unforgettable...and seriously....using this paper is unforgettable! It was definitely a pleasure to do so! Here is a little peek at my project-

So glad you stopped by today! Thank you!
